The Department was established in 1996 and offers Biochemistry at the B.Sc. level with the following combinations:

Best department Prize in 1994
Compiled a Laboratory Manual in December 2006
Organized UGC sponsored National Workshop SLICE SPICE on Computational Molecular Biology in March 2004
Organized BIOALCHEMY, an intercollegiate Biochemistry exhibition in August 2005
In Vivo Decennial celebrations of the Department of Biochemistry on 14th and 15th December, 2006
Completed successfully UGC sponsored minor project entitled “Antioxidant and Antimicrobial activity of green leafy vegetables”
