Projects

Computer Science students work on a project in the second year. Here are a few hints to help you along:

  • The course teacher will suggest a number of projects.
  • Select one and understand the scope of the project. Write a brief synopsis and get it checked by your instructor.
  • Choose your partner or team carefully. Understand clearly your role within the team.
  • Do some preliminary research to understand the underlying technology. For example, if your project is related to databases, you may have to read up on RDBMS
  • Complete the design in 3 weeks and presnt it to the class.
  • Develop the solution and test it thoroughly
  • Complete the write up and create a PowerPoint presentation
  • Schedule and present the final project.

M.Sc. Projects

  • M.Sc. Computer Science students undertake a project in the fourth semester.
  • The project is completed under the guidance of a company registered with STP.
  • The project may be research-based or application oriented.
  • The students spend a minimum of 16 hours per week on the project.
  • Milestones are set for study, design and implementation and these tasks must be completed on time.
