Projects
Computer Science students work on a project in the second year. Here are a few hints to help you along:
- The course teacher will suggest a number of projects.
- Select one and understand the scope of the project. Write a brief synopsis and get it checked by your instructor.
- Choose your partner or team carefully. Understand clearly your role within the team.
- Do some preliminary research to understand the underlying technology. For example, if your project is related to databases, you may have to read up on RDBMS
- Complete the design in 3 weeks and presnt it to the class.
- Develop the solution and test it thoroughly
- Complete the write up and create a PowerPoint presentation
- Schedule and present the final project.
M.Sc. Projects
- M.Sc. Computer Science students undertake a project in the fourth semester.
- The project is completed under the guidance of a company registered with STP.
- The project may be research-based or application oriented.
- The students spend a minimum of 16 hours per week on the project.
- Milestones are set for study, design and implementation and these tasks must be completed on time.
