Postgraduate Courses
After the pioneering efforts and achievements under autonomy for more than a decade, the college felt encouraged to take up greater challenges in higher education and introduced select P.G. courses in 1995.
St Francis College received autonomous status for postgraduate courses in 2010. Currently the college offers postgraduate programs in Computer Science, Mathematics and Microbiology in addition to M.Com. This year we introduce three new courses - Masters in Mass Communication & Journalism, Master of Science in Finance, and M.Sc Chemistry. Under autonomy, admission to postgraduate courses will be based on the entrance test scheduled to be held in the college on 25th and 29th May, 2011. Students who qualify in the PG Common Entrance Examination conducted by Osmania University will also be considered for admission to our postgraduate programs.
The syllabus for the entrance examination is the complete undergraduate common core syllabus prescribed by Osmania University in the concerned subject. Students will be selected for admission on the basis of their performance in the entrance test. 50% weightage will be given to the marks obtained in the qualifying undergraduate examination.
