M.Sc. Computer Science

Under autonomy we have redesigned the curriculum for M.Sc. to meet the twin objectives of opening up avenues for research and improving the potential for suitable placements in the industry. The M.Sc. course integrates seamlessly with the undergraduate course in computer science and provides in-depth understanding of core and advanced topics in computer science. Hands-on lab sessions introduce all the modern tools related to problem solving. In the final semester, students take up and complete a project in the design and development of software in a well established organization in the software industry.

Objectives:

  • To promote research interest in students.
  • To train students for careers in research and in the software industry.
  • To enable students to work on a project in collaboration with well-established software development organizations and acquire demonstrable experience in the design, development and documentation of a software product of significant size and complexity.
  • To develop problem solving skills and encourage students to communicate effectively.

Eligibility:

Graduates who have studied mathematics in the disciplines B.A, B.Com or B.Sc. from any University, recognized under University Act of India, with a minimum of 55% in the undergraduate examination are eligible. Students who are awaiting their final year undergraduate results may also apply.
