National Entreprenership Network (NEN)
In August 2009, St Francis College joined the National Entrepreneurship
Network of 470 top tier academic institutes across the country. The
network, established in 2003, is a not-for-profit initiative supported
by the Wadhwani Foundation. The main objective of the network is to
create and support entrepreneurs, thereby driving job creation and fuelling
economic growth in India The NEN partners with academic institutes to
help them build an effective and vibrant entrepreneurship ecosystem
on campus in order to develop and support entrepreneurs. Two faculty
members Ms.Mallika Shetty, Dept. of BMS and Ms.Mary Anthony, Dept. of
Botany, have qualified to be the NEN Campus Advisors after successfully
completing the 5 day Faculty Development Program held in Aurora Business
School, Hyderabad in October 2009.
ECHO is the club for aspiring entrpreneurs of St Francis. The week starting February 5, 2011 was celebrated as E-week and students had a glimpse of the excitement and challenges of being an entrpreneur through participating in many competitions and games.
